Grell Cattle has been a family venture starting with the purchase of 5 heifers in 1996. I purchased that solid set of heifers from Bruce Glover and Steve Kelle. The Black Talon heifer pictured had much success in the show ring, and has gone on to be a great producer for us; her influence is realized in several females today. Over the years we have grown the herd to 40 females, keeping heifers for my sister Paige to show along the way. We recently teamed up to purchase a donor from Thrasher Cattle Company, and are excited about the steer-producing potential she possesses. Our club calf producing females have been purchased from some of the industry's best, including Max Redgate, George McCreary of Paw Paw Creek, Mike Detherage, Bruce Glover, John Hester, Kris Black, Steve Kelle, Thrasher Cattle, and the Exposure Sales.

We are proud of the success we've had with the limited number of calves hitting the ground. Our biggest show ring accomplishmnets have been the Reserve Grand Champion Steer at the 2003 Oklahoma Youth Expo and the Reserve Grand Champion Steer at the 2000 NW District Livestock Show. We sell calves off the cow on a first come first served basis, so be sure to beat the rush. We are located 5 miles north of Blackwell on Highway 177 right off of I-35.
